Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks

If you are in Santa Fe, New Mexico and you like hikes, the one leading to Kasha Katuwe, which in Cochiti language means “White Cliffs”, is definitely not to be missed.

Only 40 miles southwest from Santa Fe you’ll find yourself immersed in an unexpected landscape created by the erosion caused by wind and water in addition to a volcanic eruption that shaped the rocks giving it the characteristic cone shape (hence the name Tent Rocks ).

The most scenic hike to take is the Canyon Trail which in 4 miles will take you from the bottom of the Slot Canyon (yes, we do like slot canyons) to the top where, in addition to the view of particular rock formations, you can enjoy a beautiful landscape. The trail is suitable for everyone because it does not have any particular difficulty.

Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks
